    Coastal Communications and Media, LLC

    Chief Communications Officer (CCO)

For my senior Public Relations Capstone course, I (along with other upper level Public Relations students) were required to team up with four other students to create a business (Coastal Communications and Media, LLC) and perform a well thought out campaign for our assigned employer. My team and I worked with a non-profit organization called Hannah’s Home of South Florida. This NGO helps unwed mothers find stability for them and their child. They encounter a two year Christ-centered program that teaches them how to cook, clean, finance, keep a steady income, work, take care of their child, and learn more about Christ. My team and I were in charge of putting together an awareness campaign (Baby Steps, Big Differences) to bring attention to Hannah’s Home so that there will be more donations to help the women living there. Since this course was during the pandemic, we could not perform our campaign due to COVID-19. We did, however, write a thesis on non-profit organizations, out-of-wedlock births, and how Hannah’s Home is impacting South Florida. Along with the thesis, we put together a media kit. This entails brochures, stickers, billboard designs, and logo designs.
