Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities
Wage Payment: Employee rights consist of:- Pay for all salaries made (INFO # 3) at the rate concurred to by the company and staff member.
– Pay of a minimum of base pay (INFO # 1), the relevant Colorado or local minimum wage, and all made overtime incomes without impermissible reductions from their wages;.
– Pay of all made wages without impermissible deductions (INFO # 16).
Labor Statutes, Rules, & Published Guidance
Statutes & Rules: DLSS imposes many of Colorado’s wage and employment hour and other types of labor statutes and labor rules, including the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (” COMPS Order”), and employment the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Published Guidance: employment The Division’s primary kinds of public assistance are:- INFOs (Interpretive Notices and Formal Opinions) – the Division’s officially approved notices, opinions, and descriptions on different labor law topics; and.

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If a company owes you salaries, you can send your employer a composed need for payment of earnings by mail, e-mail, text message, or other electronic means. A written demand might be sent out to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for employment overdue incomes is filed with the Division. Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and evaluated, a letter describing the nature of the grievance and the quantities alleged to be owed is sent out to the company. Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): employment The Division might conduct employer-wide direct examinations of prospective offenses of Colorado wage and hour law. If you want to submit a pointer, please email the Division at [email protected]. If you would like to submit a specific claim for overdue earnings, you should complete a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements web page. To appeal a direct investigation citation or several Notices of Assessment, an alleged employer may submit a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
